Cosmetic injection-molded bottles represent both an industry and a cultural phenomenon. In today’s financial environment, cosmetics remain a sunrise industry with an unshakable market position. However, the quality of cosmetic bottle custom manufacturers varies widely. Therefore, upon receiving the goods, it’s essential not only to verify that the quantity is complete but also to inspect the quality. So, how do we check whether the quality of cosmetic injection-molded bottles meets the required standards? What are the relevant criteria? 1. Appearance: Primarily conducted by visual inspection under sufficient lighting conditions, using normal vision at a distance of 20–30 cm directly in front of the eyes. Check whether the surface has defects such as blemishes, foreign particles, or scratches. 2. Dimensions: Use a ruler or a vernier caliper with an accuracy of 0.02 mm to measure and record the dimensions of the sample, verifying whether they conform to the specified standards. 3. Weight: Use a balance with a resolution of 0.1 g to weigh the sample and record the value, ensuring it matches the agreed-upon dimensional standards. 4. Capacity: Place the sample on a balance with a resolution of 0.1 g, subtract the tare weight of the bottle, fill the sample bottle completely with tap water, and record the value (if necessary, directly inject the paste or convert the density of water to that of the paste). 5. Adhesion of Printing and Durability of Hot Stamping (Gold/Silver): ① Cover the printed and hot-stamped (gold/silver) areas with 3M810 test tape, smooth it out to eliminate air bubbles, then quickly peel it off. Repeat this process three times for the printed area and twice for the hot-stamped (gold/silver) area. ② Wipe the printed area back and forth twice using gauze soaked in disinfectant alcohol. 6. Flip-Top Performance: At room temperature, manually flip the flip-top lid open and closed 200 times without any breakage. The tightness and sealing should remain consistent with the condition before testing. 7. Cap Compatibility Test: The cap should fit smoothly without slipping. Bottle-to-cap connections can be either threaded or snap-fit. For snap-fit bottles, the gap between the bottle and cap should be ≤0.4 mm; for threaded bottles, the gap should be between 0.1 mm and 0.6 mm. 8. Leak-Proof Testing: ① Fill the bottle with water weighing or measuring the same amount as the net content of the product, place it in a vacuum chamber, and evacuate the air down to -0.05 MPa, maintaining this pressure for 5 minutes. There should be no leakage. ② If the above vacuum test fails, fill the bottle with water weighing or measuring the same amount as the net content, leave it standing for 24 hours, and there should still be no leakage. (This method applies only to wide-mouth bottles.) 9. Drop Test: Fill the bottle with water weighing or measuring the same amount as the net content of the product, close the lid, and drop it from a specified height three times each: first, with the lid facing downward at a 45-degree angle; second, flat and free-falling with the bottom vertically facing down onto a cement floor. There should be no cracks, leaks, or separation of components. For products labeled with a net content > 200 ml/g, the drop height is 1.2 m; for those labeled with a net content ≤ 200 ml/g, the drop height is 1.5 m. 10. Heat and Cold Resistance Tests: ① Heat Resistance Test: Fill the sample bottle with water weighing or measuring the same amount as the net content, place it horizontally in a constant-temperature oven (48 ± 1℃) for 24 hours. There should be no cracks, deformation, discoloration, or leakage. ② Cold Resistance Test: Fill the sample bottle with water weighing or measuring the same amount as the net content, place it horizontally in a refrigerator (between -10℃ and -15℃) for 24 hours. There should be no cracks, deformation, discoloration, or leakage. 11. Barcode Readability: The barcode should be readable clearly and accurately in one go using a barcode scanner. 5.4 Batch-by-Batch Inspection Judgment for Pass or Fail: For appearance inspection items and functional inspection items, based on the results of the sample inspection, if the number of defective items found in the sample is less than or equal to the acceptance criterion, the batch is considered pass; if the number of defective items found exceeds or equals the rejection criterion, the batch is considered fail.
